Connect+ event

The CNRFID launched a new idea in 2010: the International RFID Congress. The two-day congress facilitates business meetings, giving all those involved in the RFID industry the opportunity to listen to high-level international speakers, discover RFID applications and take part in business activities all in one place. The International RFID Congress is an opportunity for making significant new business contacts, offering RFID users an overview of existing solutions, giving suppliers the chance to talk to key players in targeted markets and helping academics and institutions to expand their network.

In 2016, the International RFID Congress will become Connect+ Event, the trade show offering all the solutions for making smart and connected objects (RFID, NFC, Bluetooth, Sigfox, LoRA, etc.).

Connect+ Event 2017

It will be held from 3 to 3 October 2017 at Villepinte (Paris) and will play a key role in Smart Industries.
The event will include lectures on applications in industry, healthcare, retail, aeronautics, luxury goods, energy and more, a large space for application demonstrations, and targeted business meetings.

Connect+ Event 2016

It will be held from 6 to 9 December 2016 at Villepinte (Paris) as part of the Convergence for the Industry of the Future show, and will play a key role in Smart Industries, MIDEST and the Convergence Forum. Connect+ Event is more than just a name change. The show will have a larger target audience and bring together key professional players in the Internet of Things over 4 days.

International RFID Congress 2013, Common RFID/NFC solutions and applications for Industry & Local Authorities

On the 8th and 9th of October 2013, the CNRFID launched the fourth edition of the International RFID Congress, dedicated to RFID and NFC applications for the Industry and Local Authorities.

The 2013 International RFID Congress  gathered more than 500 qualified attendees, including 45% users and 30% suppliers of RFID and NFC solutions. ”This qualification has always been a strong marker, explains Daniel Nabet, CNRFID President, It enables all companies to find highly qualified people to talk to and the most appropriate contacts who can assist them in developing their projects”.
The International RFID Congress lies on a concept which has already proved its worth since its creation in 2010 : conferences with an international scope, business meetings and live demonstrations in an attractive exhibition place encouraging business.

“This edition was very successful”, says Jean-Christophe Lecosse, CNRFID General Manager, “The visitors highlighted the interest of the interventions as well as the quality of attendees and organization. This event will have a long lasting impact and confirms the legitimacy of the CNRFID with all key players”.

International RFID Congress 2012, RFID/NFC applications in health-care and wellbeing

Created by the French Government, the French National RFID Center encourages the deployment of RFID - Radio Frequency IDentification. RFID is an automatic identification technology offering potential applications in all sectors (retail, health, aeronautic industry, leisure, transportation ...). Active RFID tags and passive RFID tags appears in different form factors: RFID tags, RFID badges, RFID cards ... These RFID tags are generally associated with RFID readers connected to the information system. Commonly used RFID frequencies are: RFID LF (125 and 134.2 kHz), RFID HF (13.56 MHz) and RFID UHF (860-960 MHz). For HF RFID, the physical principles and applications are identical to those used for NFC (Near Field Communication) or contactless smart cards. Associated with sensors network, these RFID technologies are the basis for future applications of the Internet of Things (IoT). The CNRFID supports the RFID suppliers, RFID users, institutions and research organizations according to their needs by promoting the use of ISO or EPC standards. It brings together over 120 national and international stakeholders involved in the development of RFID projects.
